All the Pretty Monsters by the late great Kristy Cunning is without a doubt one my all time favorite series and one that I have re-read most of the novels several times. In the beginning of 2021 I had yet to finish the series with the last book, so I decided to do a full re-read. It was an epic book bender. I love the world building, characters, humor, sexiness and this reverse harem is magnificent.
I will adore these books forever. I’m so sad that we lost such an incredible writer and human, however we are blessed with the words she left behind to read and treasure. This series will live on my permanent shelf forever and I will always recommend it.
Some of the darkest books I’ve ever read. It pushed my morality buttons and I pushed back, because I really ended up loving these two. Seriously dark, heed the warnings. Do not read this series if you can’t handle every single trigger that exists. If you can get past that – read them, they’re amazing.
I’m sooooo behind on reading this one. I loved it, Beauty and the Beast reimagined into this stunningly well written fantasy. The romance isn’t the main focus but it’s still a swoon worthy romance indeed. So good. I love this whole novel. It’s one to re-read over and over again.
Candace Wondrak’s books were my backlog discovery in 2021, I binged my way through 15+ of her novels and loved every twisted, bloody, effed up moment of the mindf*ck that are her books.
The interconectedness of the Cruel Black Hearts series, Hillcrest University series, Sins and Midpark High series is epic deliciousness. Each series can be read as a standalone, but why do that when you can read all of them and get all the dirty crazy detail.
These books are dark. Uber dark. Heed the warnings/triggers, if you are not a dark romance trigger filled book junkie, then please, please, don’t read these.
