5 Stars | Amazon | Goodreads | 2023 Favorite | Incomplete Series
Chokehold. This series has got me obsessed. I read these back to back and then went and listened to the audiobooks. I can’t get enough and crazy recommend them. Best of 2023. Best of ever.

Plier is one of the best books I’ve read this year. My heart was racing, I kept getting goosebumps, and shrieking. . .I’m just. . .I’m obsessed. This might be my favorite Jane Washington book that I’ve read so far, I’ve read every single one of her books and she just keeps getting better.
What happens when you take Omegaverse, an FMC Sigma, add in ten – count that – TEN Alphas, an Academy, a reality-esque TV show, and a whole other slew of tropes. . .you get perfection.
Per-fec-tion.
Isobel Carter is a Sigma, the supposed lowest of the low on the totem pole of those with power in this unique Omegaverse. When Isobel is dropped off at Ironside Academy at sixteen years old, it’s both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing to be out from under the thumb of her father, a curse because she’s about to enter an Academy that has no need or want of her. When she stumbles across an Alpha, her world is about to shift into a free fall, and it. is. everything.
Jane Washington has slammed it out of the park with her newest novel, the writing is immersive, the story is all consuming and the characters. . .they’ve got me in a chokehold.
Honestly, go read this book. Do yourself a favor and get sucked into the pure awesomeness that is this amazing first outing.

This series has me in a chokehold and I never want it to end. I honestly was going to attempt to wait to read Tourner until we were closer to the release of book three, but. . .I couldn’t. I can’t stop obsessing over these characters and I needed to know what was going to happen and omg, this second entry is packed full of awesome. And that cliffhanger is killer.
Isobel has a mate. . .ten to be clear. TEN mates. I wasn’t sure how Jane Washington would handle that many mates, but holy wow, I shouldn’t have even questioned it because it is amazing. The development and slow burn of these relationships is addictive and squee-inducing.
I love Isobel, she’s an amazing character with trauma in her past, unique and intriguing gifts, and whether she knows it or not. . .ten mates. Ten. Sorry, I can’t get over how many mates Isobel has and how well done and perfect it is.
Theodore Kane, Moses Kane, Elijah Reed, Gabriel Spade, Cian Ashford, Kilian Grey, Niko Hart, Oscar Sato, Professor Mikel Easton, and Professor Kalen West. I love each and every one of these men, I can not wait to learn more about each of them and see how Jane Washington develops the relationships as the series goes on. Also, side note. . .go check out Jane Washington’s website for a character chart, I also got out pen and paper and wrote down their first and last name with a brief description to help me keep them straight at first, now I’m just flowing with the story without losing track of who is who.
Tourner is just as good as Plier, book one, if not even better. This series is my favorite of 2023. Favorite, can not ever recommend it enough. Seriously, go read the Ironside Academy series, it’s amazingly written, packed full of characters to obsess over, with interesting omega verse rules and so many other tropes.
