Do you ever read a book by an author and then want to kick yourself for not reading them sooner? But then! You’re just like pumped that you have a backlog of books to binge? Yeah, that’s me right now. To say that I am obsessed with Desire in his Blood and Zoey Draven’s writing style would be an understatement. I could not stop reading, ignoring my life and responsibilities in favor of consuming this perfection of a novel.
Hate-to-Love perfection right here. When Gemma agrees to marry a space vampire who is tall, dark and handsome with wings and horns, she doesn’t expect that he’ll despise her with the passion of a thousand suns. Azur, the new groom with the wings and the fangs and the craving for blood, isn’t expecting the woman that Gemma is, revenge is supposed to be easy, it’s not supposed to be complicated and completely upend his entire existence. . .cue the giggles and glee.
This book. I found myself grinning like crazy, giggling while reading and kicking my feet with pure glee. I absolutely adored this book. The banter, the bickering, the loathe to love, the spice, the family, the reasons behind the marriage, the ending which made me tear up. . .perfection.
I can’t wait to continue this series, I need the next one!
