I collect book boyfriends the way some people used to collect beanie babies, and yes, I’m dating myself there, I also find the entire beanie baby thing super fascinating, but that’s not what you’re here for. . .*giggle**snort*

The Bat Boys. Forever.
Rhysand. Cassian. Azriel.
Once you got Bat Boy, you don’t go back.

Lahn.
Some readers don’t like this one, as the beginning does have a rape scene. I however embraced the culture of the setting and trusted KA to make it right. And she sooooo does.
Think Jason Momoa circa GOT and you’ve got Lahn.
p.s. I know it’s book two, but it can be read as a standalone
“I could not dream a better you.”
Oh my God.
Oh… my… God.
Did he just say that?
I stared into his warm eyes.
He just said that.
And that was so sweet, so unexpected but so welcome, my breath arrested and all I could do was continue staring at him.
He wasn’t done. “A better wife, a better queen. Not even in a dream could I create better than you.”
― Kristen Ashley, The Golden Dynasty
Lee. Ultimate bad ass.
The Rock Chick series is filled with hot men aka the hot bunch, but I’ll fully admit that Lee stole my heart and has remained my favorite of all the guys featured in the series.
Contemporary romance with Alpha Males + Humor

“Lee, you’re gonna have to get over this jealous-possessiveness thing.”
― Kristen Ashley, Rock Chick
“Indy, you’re gonna have to get used to the fact that I’m the jealous-possessive type.”

Hawke.
Book ten in the Psy-Changeling series and worth the nine-book wait to get to Hawke’s story.
Nalini Singh knows how to write some dangerously epic stories, filled with intrigue, killer world building, and of course romance, and Kiss of Snow is EVERYTHING.
p.s. can be read as a standalone, I guess, but much better when read in order
“You’re in my every breath and every thought, intertwined so deep inside me that love’s not a strong enough word—you have my devotion, your name branded on my soul, my wolf yours to command. A hundred years? It’ll never be enough. I want eternity.”
― Nalini Singh, Kiss of Snow
Curran.
Beast Lord. Lion Shifter. The toughest asshole around.
Curran is a favorite for a multitude of reasons and those reasons shine through in every scene he appears in, and every single novel of this very long, worth every word and syllable, series.
Go read it. Go meet Kate, but also go meet the only male strong enough to take her on, Curran.

“I turned to leave and paused before the gap in the ruined wall. “One last thing, Your Majesty. I’d like a name I can put into my report, something shorter than typing out ‘The Leader of the Southern Shapechanger Faction.’ What should I call you?”
― Ilona Andrews, Magic Bites
“Lord.”
I rolled my eyes.
He shrugged. “It’s short.”

James Cavendish.
Do you like Fifty Shades of Grey? Welllllll, the Up in the Air series and Mr. Beautiful himself blows Mr. Grey out of the fucking water.
This series is vastly superior. The writing is stellar perfection, and the sex is HOT. This is what BDSM, Kink, Sadist/Masochist dreams are made of.
“I’m going to ruin you. I’ll be your first, and I’ll fuck you so thoroughly that I’ll be your last too. You won’t want any other man after I’ve gotten my hands on you.”
― R.K. Lilley, In Flight
Jericho Barrons. JZB.
Eleven books. Epic does not even begin to describe the world-building and terrifying beauty found in this series. The Nine, iykyk, are killer, but Barrons, Barrons is the absolute best. Cold to Ms. Lane, whom he only calls Mac when she’s in trouble, but oh so hot with her at the same time. He is without a doubt one of the best characters to come flowing from the brain of the magnificent Karen Marie Moning.
He’s beloved for so many varied reasons, and this series in all honesty deserves every single piece of hype it has ever received, it is one to sink into and escape the world around you. Plus, you lucky bitches don’t have to wait on pins and needles for the next book to come, as it is a finished series. I, unfortunately, had to wait with bated breath between releases.
p.s. if you can locate it, there is a scene entirely from Barrons pov that is delicious, you can thank me later.

“He didn’t just occupy space; he saturated it. The room had been full of books before, now it was full of him.”
― Karen Marie Moning, Darkfever

Kane ‘Tack’ Allan.
While Motorcycle Man is book four in the Dream man series, it can be read as a standalone and while I like the other men in the rest of the series – I was salivating for Tack’s story, omg, it’s perfection.
Motorcycle Club president, his new secretary, let the chaos and the romance ensue.
“And into the darkness, to his sleeping woman, he whispered, “You don’t know this, baby, but some men have dream women too.”
― Kristen Ashley, Motorcycle Man

Cole Blackwell.
The Sinners Duet by Sophie Lark is soooooooo good.
I adore Cole’s serial killer darkness, he’s macabre in the artworks that he creates, he’s obsessive with Mara once he decides to indulge in his obsession, and he’s dangerous with his tendencies. It’s a stellar duet, with a killer book boyfriend.
(side note: there is some controversial takes on the author Sophie Lark, I’m choosing to leave this up for now, but she is not an author that I support any longer, nor do I purchase her books anymore or read any of her books on KU. If you have these on your shelf or can pick them up used, I still recommend them.)
“not all of us were drawn to Prince Charming. Some little girls ate up the stories of ball gowns and castles and knights who slayed the dragon . . . While some little girls read the stories of a dark pathway into the woods . . . a twisted mansion with black windows and fog covering the grounds . . . That’s where we wanted to go. No matter what we might find inside . . .”
― Sophie Lark, There are No Saints

Tristan “The Predator” Caine.
Tristan Caine is my BAE. Seriously. He’s one of my absolute favorite characters to ever be written, and he is book-boyfriend material for life. He speaks more with his actions than with his words and when he does speak, knock me over with a syllable. I love him.
“Don’t you know not to run away from predators, sweetheart? We like the hunt.”
― RuNyx, The Predator

Reyes.
After 13 books and several novellas, how could Reyes not become book boyfriend material?
The Charley Davidson series is full of mysteries, sleuthing, supernatural shenanigans, humor, sexiness, a female protagonist that kicks ass and spouts laugh-out-loud dialogue while doing it, and Reyes, sexy yummy Reyes. Highly recommend this entire series, you won’t regret it.
“I knew dating the son of Satan would turn out badly”
― Darynda Jones, First Grave on the Right
Warwick Farkas.
Picture Jason Momoa as Warwick and you’re welcome! I love Warwick, he’s complicated, he’s got secrets and he’s mysteriously tied to the one and only Brexley. This series is fabulous, Savage Lands, book one, is on the slower side but once you are hooked, you are hooked.

“There is nothing around him.” Tad’s attention pointed at me. “Or around you.” “What?” I straightened. “Me?” “Your aura is void of both life and death. Nothing.” Tad tilted his head. “Like him.”
― Stacey Marie Brown, Savage Lands

Adam.
The tension, the ebb, and flow between the titular character Mercy and her neighbor, the Alpha, Adam, is spell-bounding. This series is just so good, it’s hit classic status in my personal opinion, if you love PNR and/or Urban Fantasy, you really do need to read this series.
Adam is delicious, old-school, alpha to the extreme and so perfectly suited as Mercy’s partner.
If you haven’t picked this series up, you are in for a wonderful delightful ride.
“Mine,” he said.
Adam’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t think so. She is mine.”
It would have been flattering, I thought, except that at least one of them was talking about dinner and I wasn’t certain about the other.”
― Patricia Briggs, Moon Called
Nicholas.
Unconventional in the best possible way. Nicholas is a drag queen and he’s straight and he’s a total simp for Freda. It’s lovely. It’s wonderfully written. I remember the first time I read it, I was smitten, completely smitten. I’ll always recommend this beauty.
Nicholas will knock you stupid with how fabulous he is.

“I want to ruin you Freda, in the best way possible.”
― L.H. Cosway, Painted Faces
Thomas Cresswell.
A YA masterpiece. Cresswell is delightful and wonderful and I was completely smitten with him. The way he is with Audrey Rose was everything. Maniscalco gave us a book boyfriend for life with Thomas.

“Roses have both petals and thorns, my dark flower. You needn’t believe something weak because it appears delicate. Show the world your bravery.”
― Kerri Maniscalco, Stalking Jack the Ripper

“Sweetheart, is today the day you run away alone in fear? Or the day you have the balls to trust in our friendship? Trust in the four of us. Together.”
― Scarlett Dawn, King Hall
Terrible, Downside Ghosts
